Job Description: Under the direction of the Chief Operator, the Waste Water Treatment Technician assists in the operation of the Water Purfication Plant as needed. This includes performing opening and closing tasks for the Waste Water Purfication Plant, checking the plant and observing conditions to determine that the plant is operating properly, cleaning the head works and cyclone de-gritter system, the laboratory and the belt press, collecting grab and composite samples, ability to PM and calibrate ph and DO probes, and receiving chemicals from chemical tankers to chemical tanks within the plant, receives wastewater delivered by outside venders and pumps or transfers into proper tankage. Performs routine lab analyses as required. Must be able to operate small amphidrome package plant, sample and complete monthly reports. Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the facility. Incumbent is required to fill in for the Chief Operator's absence. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s

This position is either part time for the operation of a Municipal RBC
waste water treatment plant (7-10 hrs/week), or full time including WWT
plus general maintenance for an apartment/office/shopping center
complex.
For the WWT portion, applicant must have a Grade 4 Municipal license or

Part-time hours are flexible, full time hours are Tues-Sat start time

The
Town of Medfield Department of Public Works is accepting resumes for a
certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator VI. This
position
is
responsible for operating the WWTP in compliance with applicable local,
state,

rounds,
