Cutting edge environmental management firm is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual with wastewater operations experience and a customer-oriented attitude! 

Operate and maintain various industrial wastewater treatment systems, ranging from Industrial Grade 1 to Grade 4. These treatment systems are designed to remove heavy metals from wastewater discharges and are typically comprised of elementary pH and ORP adjustment, flow measurement, physical filtration, activated carbon, and ion exchange processes. Other key responsibilities include setup and collection of wastewater samples for analysis, and installation and service of silver recovery systems and components.  

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems and related equipment and components including, but not limited to, the following: Chemical metering pumps, centrifugal transfer pumps, “other” pump types; Calibrate and standardize pH and ORP probes and control loops; Maintain assorted filter types.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot various flow measuring devices such as Sigma, ISCO, Foxboro, and other types of flow measuring devices.
• Understand how to properly maintain various Programmable Logic Control Devices (PLCs).
• Required to occasionally work long hours, weekends and holidays; and to be “on call”.
• Maintain and complete daily log of all maintenance and routine operations at sites.
• Collect industrial wastewater samples using ISCO and similar types and styles of automatic samplers.
• Possess a working knowledge of pertinent wastewater regulations, as well as knowledge of effective installation of new equipment such as pumps, valves, flow meters, probes, and other system related equipment.
• Participate in training personnel in the proper operation and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment plants.
• Possess the ability to assist in implementing system upgrades.
• Provide technical assistance to our customers.
• Candidate must be an effective problem solver and able to work independently.
• Candidate must be a “self starter” who is willing and able act in a professional, responsible manner at all times.

Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, all Field Technicians will be on a rotating ER team; requirements include wearing pagers 24 hours a day during their ER week. In addition, the position includes the daily need to lift items that weigh up to 75 lbs and to operate commercial motor vehicles 

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be computer literate in general and able to learn new applications.
• Massachusetts Wastewater License, Grade 2I minimum
• Driver’s license in good standing. CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities/Duties for this position:  Looking for an Engineer with minimum of seven years experience in the utility engineering field designing, managing, and constructing sanitary/storm sewer, and water distribution systems. Candidate should be familiar with CMOM/GASB standards and their implementation. Requirements include developing proposal for and executing the design and service related work scope for collection/distribution systems, and other underground asset systems, interface with clients, and regulatory agencies, management of construction contracts, and other subcontract entities in service delivery. JOB SUMMARY:  Non-Exempt position.  Performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and manual work in the repairing, cleaning, locating and inspection of the wastewater collection system, operate a variety of light construction equipment and wastewater system cleaning and maintenance. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         Responsible charge of operating heavy equipment including a backhoe, combination high pressure flusher and vactor truck

·         Perform a variety of construction, repair, cleaning, & inspection work including rodding, hydroflush cleaning, television camera inspection & locating.

·         Assist in maintaining & caring for assigned tools & equipment.

·         Sit to drive or ride in vehicle, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, & twist while getting in & out of trenches, mixing mortar, & working in sewage; perform simple & power grasping, pushing & pulling, fine manipulation, use feet to operate foot controls, lift of carry weight of 100 pounds, hear traffic noise, & observe oncoming traffic for safety.  Required to communicate via radio & hear radio dispatch signal.

·         Perform a variety of semi-skilled & manual work involved in the maintenance, cleaning, & closed circuit television inspection of sewer lines & structures.

·         Operate hand & power tools, including air compressors, jack hammers, & cement mixers, perform heavy manual labor.

·         Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

·         Learn, observe all safety precautions as required by the Company, including, but not limited to, MA/OSHA General Industry Safety Directives, may be required to enter confined space

·         Ability to be on call nights and weekends to work overtime in response to emergency situations and alarms.

Experience, Education and/or Licensing needed for this position:

Degree in Business, Science or Engineering or equivalent related experience with completion of an accredited management course.

Five to seven years progressive supervisory and management experience within a water /wastewater treatment environment with thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, principles, and practices of water/wastewater treatment and wastewater collection. 

Must Possess a Rhode Island Grade IV Wastewater Treatment level of certification required by State or be able to obtain one through reciprocity or examination within 6 months of appointment.

Vice President Engineering

Sales Engineer 

Sales Engineer will manage existing customers and work with prospective wastewater treatment plant clients within industrial, decentralized/package and municipal market segments.  Position will provide technical assistance to optimize the use of EOS products within client treatment processes.  Sales Engineer will also support and train the Company’s chemical distributors and other channel partners.  Position is based in Bourne, Massachusetts but will require travel to nitrogen sensitive areas throughout the Untied States, including Long Island Sound, Chesapeake Bay, Florida, etc. 

Ideal candidates will have academic background in Biology, Chemistry and / or Civil and Environmental Engineering and have 3-7 years of experience within the wastewater treatment industry either at an engineering firm, wastewater facility or within a company providing products and services to the wastewater industry.  Previous sales experience desired, but not required.    

Marketing Manager 

Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing marketing-related activities at the Company, including management of the Company’s salesforce.com database.  Position will manage external communications, including developing and disseminating technical literature (case studies, bulletins, articles, other technical content), managing any outbound marketing campaigns, managing the company’s public relations efforts and its web presence.  Marketing Manager will also be responsible for collecting, organizing and prioritizing sales opportunities and work closely with the Company’s sales team. 

Ideal candidates will have a background in technical marketing and communications, preferably within companies serving the wastewater industry.  Academic background in Biology, Chemistry and / or Civil and Environmental Engineering desired, but not required.  Experience with CRM tools like salesforce.com desired.

PRETREATMENT COORDINATOR Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility  

The Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility is seeking a professional to manage the daily activities of its industrial pretreatment program.  This is a challenging position in a dynamic work environment with excellent growth opportunities.  The successful candidate will possess strong technical and administrative skills.  Proficiency in project management, technical writing, and mathematical calculations is necessary.  Wastewater treatment experience is desired.  A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, environment studies, or comparable is preferred.  Salary range is $45 – 52 K, depending upon experience.  Compensation includes health benefits, paid vacation, sick and personal time, and holidays.  Please contact Mike Stuer at mstuer@lowellma.gov for more information.

Operator-In-Training

Our facility located in Rockland, MA is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operator-In-Training. This is an excellent entry level wastewater treatment position.

Position Description:

Performs daily rounds and visual inspections of plant equipment and pump stations

Operates and adjusts wastewater treatment plant equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and de-watering equipment

Monitors all charts, gauges and adjusts chemical feed rates as required.

Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining facility grounds

Position Requirements:
Must be able to obtain appropriate licenses within 18 months

Must be able to ascend and descend stairs
Must be able to work occasional overtime and holidays as required

Must be able to work in all types of weather

Education Requirements:
High school
